The term “ministry” can simply be understood as service, which perfectly captures the essence of spiritual gifts. These gifts are *sovereignly bestowed* by the Holy Spirit upon each and every believer. He distributes them *according to His divine pleasure, not according to human merit or striving*. We do not naturally develop these gifts, nor do we work to earn them; rather, they are *supernatural* expressions of the Spirit’s presence and power at work *within* and through believers. These gifts powerfully reflect the active involvement of God in the life of His Church. Crucially, these gifts are not given for personal gain, *sensational display*, or self-promotion, but rather they are for *the corporate building up*, encouragement, and faithful service of others within the body of the Church. When each believer exercises their gift faithfully and humbly, the Church grows stronger, more united, and more effective in its *God-given* mission. Every believer is called to discover, *steward*, and use their gifts *solely* to glorify God and strengthen the Church. We must earnestly desire the gifts of the Spirit, *rightly understood and applied*, for the edification and growth of the Church. SHALOM!!!
