The ordinance of the Lord’s Supper, as taught in 1 Corinthians 11:26, is one of the most important sacraments of the Christian faith. It serves as a commemoration of Christ’s sacrifice for humanity—His body broken and His blood poured out for the redemption of sins. In this ordinance, believers participate in the bread and wine, symbols of Christ’s body and blood, which unite them with Christ and each other.
